Maine College of Art & Design is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Merit Exhibition & Scholarship Competition. The annual event is held each spring and invites sophomore and junior students with a minimum 3.5 GPA to submit work to be considered for scholarship prizes. A four-person jury reviews submissions and selects winners based on the quality of craft, concept, and realization of their installation.
This year’s jury panel included:
- Patrick Coughlin, Associate Professor & Ceramics Program Chair
- Adriane Herman, Professor & Printmaking Program Chair
- Sarah Shaw, Assistant Professor, Illustration
- Ryan Wight MFA '23, Adjunct Professor, Sculpture
Submissions are exhibited on three floors of the Porteous building and feature work across majors including sculptures, prints, illustrations, animations, paintings, and more.
