Kaitlyn Peters MFA '24

Kaitlyn Peters is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Manchester, New Hampshire. She holds a BFA from New England College and an MFA from Maine College of Art & Design.

Peters’ artistic endeavors span across a variety of mediums, including installation, sculpture, and mixed-media drawing. Her practice is driven by inquiry into the invisible forces that shape our perceptions. She uses recognizable materials and motifs and alters them to the brink of understanding, where the familiar starts to become unfamiliar. Her artworks evoke a sense of tactile memory, history, and transformation.

Peters has exhibited her work extensively throughout New England and has participated in numerous community outreach and engagement programs related to the arts. As an educator, she is dedicated to nurturing creative thinking and empowerment. She firmly believes in the value of art and the vital contributions of artists.

Outside of her artistic work, Peters enjoys long walks in the woods and spending time with her family. She also tutors struggling readers at several elementary schools in New Hampshire.
