Monument Square Housing is located, about 5 minutes from the Porteous building. It houses approximately 60 students a more independent living community in either double or quad apartments and shares the building with Portland community offices. The community is quiet and focused on the smaller apartment communities. Monument is only available to BFA upperclassmen and graduate students. Each apartment has a bathroom, washer and dryer, and full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and sink. Apartments have both heat and AC adjustable per room. The floor plans are open; students share bedrooms in the apartments. All rooms are furnished with a standard twin bed, dresser, desk, and desk chair for each student. Rooms are equipped both WiFi and ethernet.
Monument is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator. Students are housed on the top four floors. The lower floors are occupied by community offices.
All residence halls are locked 24/7. Only residential students have access to residence halls. All residence halls have Resident Assistants living in each community. For more information about our residence halls and housing policies please see the Guide to Community Living.
