Shepley Residence Hall, located one block from the Porteous building, offers approximately 60 students in a independent living community; students are in either triple or quad apartments. The community is quiet and focused on the smaller apartment communities. Shepley is one residence hall, even though it is subdivided into two communities: Front Shepley and Back Shepley. Most students living in Shepley are first year students. Each apartment has a bathroom and full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, and sink. The floor plans are open; students share bedrooms in apartments. All rooms are furnished with a standard twin bed, dresser, desk and desk chair for each student. Rooms are equipped both WiFi and ethernet.
Shepley does not have an elevator and is a four floor walk up building. The common room on the first floor of Front Shepley has games, a TV, and community kitchen. Bike storage is located in Back Shepley. The laundry rooms are located in the basement of Front and Back Shepley where students enjoy limitless laundry.
All residence halls are locked 24/7. Only residential students have access to residence halls. All residence halls have Resident Assistants living in each community. For more information about our residence halls and housing policies please see the Guide to Community Living.
